In 2002 we were informed that, because the house we were living in was not big enough to house older children, and did not have enough rooms to give a child one each, should they be boy and girl, we would need to move a bigger place before being placed on the register.

This was so that any children adopted by us would not have the further disruption of moving house, or knowing that they were going to be adopted by us but then having to wait in care until we had moved.  We did know that of course, and it all made sense, but it seemed a pity that we couldn’t at least start the process there and then with interviews and references and background checks on us, etc.

About Linda Weeks

About my life with the daughter I thought I'd never have - but I did, thanks to a wonderful anonymous egg donor, to whom I will be forever grateful. xx
