The morning kept to time and the suppliers arrived at lunchtime; I knew when I booked them that I wouldn’t have time for lunch today but it was the best place to have them in our programme, so I’d had a cooked breakfast.  They and all the speakers spoke for longer than anticipated, but it was good because everyone was enthusiastic and kept asking questions, so I let it continue.

We all went out for a special evening dinner at the Pilgrim’s Restaurant, and D, one of our stalwart Committee members, had made up a hilarious Call My Bluff quiz, so we enjoyed that!  Then he took them to see the Wonky House while I came back in a taxi with one of the others, and stayed up until 1.30am doing a PowerPoint presentation on Library quotations to use in my closing speech.

About Linda Weeks

About my life with the daughter I thought I'd never have - but I did, thanks to a wonderful anonymous egg donor, to whom I will be forever grateful. xx
